Shipping Recommendations for Perishable Items

If you are shipping to the yellow or brown zones on our UPS transit map, UPS Ground shipping is usually sufficient. In most cases, you do not need to select UPS 2nd Day Air, even if your order contains perishable items. If your order does contain perishable items and you are shipping to a green, red or orange zone, UPS 2nd Day Air is highly encouraged to ensure that your items arrive safely.

How long will ground shipping take to my location?

To estimate how long UPS Ground will take to your address, please refer to the map above or use the official UPS tool here: UPS Transit Time Calculator. All orders ship from Cleveland, Ohio (ZIP 44129).

If your destination falls within the green, burgundy, or orange zones on the map, we highly recommend choosing UPS 2nd Day Air for perishable items such as frozen or refrigerated products and other temperature-sensitive items like chocolates. Faster transit helps your items arrive in the best possible condition.

For the yellow or brown zones, UPS Ground is often sufficient and you may not need 2nd Day Air, especially in cooler weather.

Orders containing perishable items are typically shipped on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to help ensure timely delivery and product freshness. Refrigerated and frozen items are shipped with UPS only. USPS Mail is not available for perishable or refrigerated items.

To choose the best option for your shipment, consider both the destination zone color and the nature of the items you are ordering.

Why are some items not recommended for more than 2 days in UPS Ground?

For perishable products such as meat, fish, dairy, pastries, and other frozen or refrigerated items, we advise against ground shipping if transit time is more than 2 business days. We use insulated packaging and ice packs to protect these items, but longer transit times increase the risk of spoilage.

PV Euro Market cannot be held responsible for damage or spoilage that may occur during shipping. If you choose to purchase these perishable items and select a slower method, we will ship them, but the risk is the customer’s responsibility.

For locations where UPS Ground takes more than 2 business days, we strongly recommend UPS 2nd Day Air, especially for temperature-sensitive items such as chocolates, or when shipping to warmer regions or during hot weather.

Please note that UPS 2nd Day Air may not be available for all locations. If this happens, we will contact you to discuss alternative options.

If you choose UPS Ground and your order contains items that require refrigeration or are temperature sensitive, your order will ship as follows:

  • To prevent your order from sitting in a warehouse or truck over the weekend, we may delay shipping until Monday. If you choose a faster method (other than Ground), we will schedule shipment so that it arrives no later than Friday. Some locations may have Saturday Ground delivery, and if available, we may use this option.
  • If a holiday falls within the transit window, your order may be delayed further to avoid sitting in a warehouse or truck during that time.

These guidelines are strictly enforced and cannot be changed.

Shipping and Service Questions

Where do you ship?

We ship to valid addresses in the United States only. At this time, we do not offer international shipping.

In-Store Pickup & Curbside Pickup

We offer in-store pickup and curbside pickup at our Parma, Ohio location. We will email you when your order is ready for pickup. Please do not arrive until you receive the “Ready for Pickup” email.

When you arrive, please call 440-888-0264 and select option 4 to let us know you are here, and we will bring your order out or have it ready at the counter.

Important Information About Product Pricing

Please note that the prices in our physical store may differ from the prices on our website. The prices displayed on our website apply only to online purchases, including those that select “In-Store Pickup/Curbside Pickup” at checkout.

What type of payments are accepted?

On our web store we currently accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

What are your shipping charges?

Shipping charges are automatically calculated at checkout. They are based on destination, total shipping weight, package dimensions, and the selected shipping method.

Please note: If the combined weight of your items is over 50 lbs, UPS and USPS may increase the shipping rate significantly. You can try splitting your order into two or more separate orders to see if the total shipping cost is lower. This is only a suggestion and may not always result in savings.

Will you charge sales tax for my order?

We charge sales tax on orders delivered to Ohio addresses and to other states where sales tax is required. State laws require companies to collect tax from residents shipping merchandise to states where the company has nexus or an obligation to collect tax.

Sales tax will be calculated at checkout and will only be added to taxable items and only where required by your state.

Product Dating and Expiration

Why do some products not have expiration dates or use codes instead?

Whether a product shows a printed expiration or “best by” date, or uses a manufacturer code, is determined by the manufacturer. Some products arrive without a standard date and instead have a code used internally by the manufacturer for stock rotation and tracking.

According to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), there are no federal regulations that require most foods to have date labels. Many date markings are voluntary and for quality guidance, not safety.

If you have questions about a specific product’s date or code, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly using the information on the product label. They can explain their date or code system in more detail.

Order Processing and Notifications

When will my order be shipped?

Once your order has been received and processed, we aim to ship it by the next business day, whenever possible. If your order includes refrigerated or frozen items, please refer to the perishable shipping guidelines above. We may adjust shipping days to protect the quality and freshness of your products.

How will I know that my items have shipped?

After you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that your order has been received. When your order is packed and ready to ship, we will send a second email with your tracking number so you can follow its progress.

You can also check your order status at any time by logging into your PV Euro Market account.

Why haven’t I received any emails about my order?

Order confirmation emails are usually sent within a few minutes of placing your order. If you do not see the confirmation in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. Sometimes email providers mistakenly filter automated messages.

To avoid this, please add our email address to your list of safe senders. This helps ensure that you receive future order updates, tracking information, and important notices.

If you still cannot find our emails, please contact us through our Contact Us page so we can verify your email address and help you with your order.

Product Availability and Discounts

What should I do if the item I want is out of stock?

If an item is out of stock, click on the “Notify Me” link next to the product. You will automatically receive an email as soon as the item is back in stock and available for purchase.

Can I receive discounts for ordering in bulk?

Most items are eligible for bulk discounts if purchased in full case quantities. If you are interested in buying by the case, please contact us before placing your order using our Contact Us page so we can confirm availability and pricing.
