This is ajvar, the most authentic speciality our land has to offer. Not to be eaten, but indulged in, this relish is prepared from traditionally roasted red peppers.

OMG amazing
This ajvar is so incredible. you can taste the intense sweet pepper flavor with a hint of smokiness from the open fire roasting. The texture is like silk, My mouth is watering just thinking of it. This is also the only Serbian Ajvar, AND the only ajvar on this site (at this time) that is 100% roasted pepper. Compare ingredients, most other brands of ajvar will list pepper and eggplant mix (i specify ajvar because there are a few vegetable blends and salsas here too). I bought one jar last order, but had to buy three this next time.
